Eastman Tritan™ Copolyester: the new non-toxic "plastic" with reduced environmental impact

Tritan is a polymer belonging to the class of co-polyesters, recyclable materials with good resistance and thermal insulation, free of harmful components such as bisphenols (BPA) released by the common polycarbonate for food use.

Tritan was developed by Eastman Chemical and today it is present in many commonly used objects, instead of the classic plastic; it resists shocks and does not deform, it is transparent and brilliant like glass, has a lower density than polycarbonate (therefore, for the same liter volume, it weighs less) and complies with a series of strict international regulations on ecology and food safety.
Its manufacturing process is simple and allows for a reduction in both energy and material consumption.
