Speedcross 5 GTX, the new generation of Speedcross that maximizes all the best of past editions. Here in the waterproof version in Gore-Tex®.
Maximum grip on yielding, soft or uneven surfaces, it has deeper and more pointed knobs and a compound that is the perfect mix between grip and resistance!
The Speedcross 5 GTX is Salomon 's big news for 2019/20!
The Contagrip outsole of the SPEEDCROSS 5 GTX features wider, more widely spaced chevron lugs with deep tread pattern and multi-directional grip, an improved design and direction to provide more grip under push and brake, while eliminating all traction build-up. mud, loose earth and grass with every stride.
A sort of shell that wraps around the heel has been created on the back of the shoe, also new for this edition, designed to offer perfect foot support and even greater stability than the Speedcross 4 .
The upper of the Speedcross 5 GTX is completely welded, with dissociated SensiFit ™ flaps and follows the movements of the foot with extreme naturalness. This type of seamless upper construction offers a snug fit and a smooth, soft feel on the foot, as if wearing a pair of gloves.
The upper is externally made with a special anti- debris mesh which prevents earth, pebbles and dirt from being trapped between the foot and the insole.
Midsole in EnergyCell + for a high rebound effect, excellent cushioning and greater durability
The lacing is clearly entrusted to the famous Salomon Quicklace™ patent, the one-pull lacing system with thin string in sturdy Kevlar which simplifies and optimizes the fit of the shoe.
The molded OrthoLite® insole guarantees maximum cushioning, unparalleled comfort, breathability and resistance.
